Jetski? Yeah of course it is fun :)

This past weekend I got back on a jet ski.

Not the stand-up kind I used to ride in my 20s, those wild, physical, carve-your-own-path machines I loved back in the day and still do. However, this time it was the sit-down version, because this time, it wasn’t just about me. It was about family, friends, sharing the water, and creating moments together.

And still… it felt like a million bucks.

By the end of the day I was totally wrecked, sunburned, waterlogged, muscles shaking, and completely at peace. That kind of exhaustion you only get from playing hard. From being so alive in your body that time disappears. It was like I’d stepped into a full-body meditation, one wave at a time.

Yeah, of course jet skiing is fun.
That’s the point.

Fun isn’t a luxury – it’s a lifeline.
It’s not the escape from the real world. It is the real world, when we let ourselves feel it.

Some people hear “jet ski” and think it’s just a thrill. It’s more than that, It’s joy in motion, mindful motion. It’s how I reconnect to something bigger – the water, the wind, the part of me that still believes… period.

And sharing that magic – letting my kids and friends take the handlebars too – added a whole new layer. It wasn’t about solo adrenaline anymore. It was about community joy. Generational joy. The kind that sticks with you longer than the weekend getaway your in.

That’s why this kind of movement matters so much to me. It’s not just exercise – it’s expression. It’s not about fitness goals – it’s about soul goals.

And this is exactly why I started the Mindful Movement Project. Because the world doesn’t need more rules. It needs more reminders – that we’re still allowed to play, to breathe, to move because it feels good.
