We all have gifts…

Yesterday started with a simple phrase I say to myself each morning:
“May all beings be free, in good health, at peace, content, and with joy.”
It centers me. Helps me remember that I’m not here just to do, I’m here to feel and connect.

Then I reflect on a few moments from the day before that reminded me what it’s all about, joy, movement, connection. That’s how I want to start my days. Aligned. Grounded. Clear.

Yesterday that meant paddle boarding at sunrise, watching turtles glide beneath the surface, birds calling overhead. The stillness is medicine.

Later, Kerry and I rode our e-bikes to church. It was one of those perfect mornings, 75 degrees, overcast, peaceful. Something about arriving on a bike makes me feel awake, tuned in, open. I didn’t just want to go to church, I wanted to arrive present, clear, and ready to connect.

As we left, we noticed another e-bike nearby, this one carrying a dad and his three kids. That made me smile. Small signals that intentional choices ripple further than we know.

Later in the day, we threw together a neighborhood cookout down by the lake, fire pit, pickleball, volleyball, swimming, RC boats, hammocks, and plenty of food. We invited whoever wanted to come. No big plan, just a desire to move, gather, and share joy.

And it worked. Kids laughing, parents connecting, screens forgotten, bodies in motion, fire crackling. It felt good. Whole.

And somewhere in all of it, I remembered again:
Movement-for me-is a way to prepare myself.
Not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, even spiritually.
It helps me show up with joy, presence, and openness.

That’s the heart of The Mindful Movement Project.
Not about being perfect. Not about being better. Just about being – fully and intentionally.

We all have something we bring. For me, it’s movement-it’s creating space for others to feel free, playful, and connected.
That’s more than enough. – Peace!
